Fertility Assessment

1. Medical History: Dr. Knight will review the patient’s medical history, including any past pregnancies, surgeries, chronic conditions (such as diabetes or thyroid issues), and family history of fertility challenges.
2. Reproductive and Menstrual Health (for women): She will discuss the woman’s menstrual cycle, ovulation patterns, and any previous gynaecological issues like endometriosis or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
3. Semen Analysis (for men): To assess the male partner’s fertility, Dr. Knight is likely to recommend a semen analysis to evaluate sperm count, motility, morphology, and sperm anti-body testing.
4. Lifestyle Factors: Lifestyle aspects, such as diet, exercise, smoking, vaping, cannabis use, alcohol consumption, and stress levels, will be discussed, as these factors can significantly influence fertility.
5. Fertility Testing: Based on each individual’s history, Dr. Knight may recommend specific fertility tests, including blood tests for hormone levels, ovarian reserve testing for women, and imaging tests such as ultrasounds to evaluate reproductive organs for potential blockages or abnormalities.
